Volunteering is much more than just giving up spare time or providing help for free. It's a way to connect with people and engage in your community. It's been proven that volunteering can help build your confidence and develop skills, allowing you to explore your interests and discover new possibilities!

Vernon Winter Carnival is always seeking motivated volunteers to join our team. We have volunteer opportunities available for all ages! Indoor, outdoor, engaging with the public, or working with a small group, we will be sure to place you in a volunteer position that works best for you.

We want you to be involved in activities you're interested in, that will allow you to achieve your personal and community minded goals!

Current Volunteer Opportunities

This is an outdoor event; please dress accordingly to the weather that day.

The event is open to the public from noon to 8 pm each day and will be located at the Kal Tire Place lower parking lot.

The first slot (starting at 11 am) will include setting up for the day.

The final slot (ending at 9 pm) will include putting away items in our storage container.

You will be assigned a role at the Family Fun Park when you arrive; positions can include: Ice Slide attendant, Snow Painting, Playground Attendant, Hot Chocolate station, and team activities.

Parking will be limited at the event; please check your email for updates.

This is an indoor event.  Volunteers may be asked to:

- greet participants as they arrive and collect entry donations;

- ensure cereal and milk station is filled and tidy;

- help with clean-up.
