Queen Silver Star Excellence Program
This Excellence Program is available for young women between the ages of 15 and 18 years who reside within the North Okanagan (Vernon, Coldstream, Lavington, Lumby and Armstrong). Candidates who join the program make long lasting friendships, enhance their resume, obtain required graduation volunteer hours, and have the opportunity to win scholarship money.

All local businesses and organizations are encouraged to host an event that not only gets the community involved but incorporates the Carnival theme and spirit! You plan your event and we'll help you promote it! It's that easy!
It's never too early to plan for the next Vernon Winter Carnival! Carnival Remembers the 60's - runs Feb 7-16, 2020. We have lots of ideas for the 60th Anniversary and would love to see some old events return!

Decorate Your Premises
This is your business or school's opportunity to celebrate Vernon's 59th Winter Carnival! Start planning now. Transform your work place, school or organization to showcase your Carnival spirit.
All the area's businesses, schools and organizations are invited to participate, so encourage your colleagues or employees to get involved in the Carnival's Best Decorated Premises Contest. Three categories are judged and awarded. Decorate the inside of your premises and dress in costume. Create a display area behind your window. Paint your window in the Carnival theme.

Snow Sculpture Competition
The 2019 BC Championship Snow Sculpture Competition is proudly presented by Silver Star Mountain Resort and the Co-operators Bracken Insurance Group. The competition is entering its 28th year and the Snow Sculpture Committee is pleased to invite you to participate in this event. Eight teams will be selected to participate in the 2019 event from all entries received before the deadline date. Please review the following rules and entry form to confirm your team qualifies for the BC Competition.

Arrest The Best
Arrest the Best is proudly sponsored by Okanagan Restoration Services & Vernon Dodge! Arrange to have your friend, boss or enemy arrested! To make it even easier we deliver the jail directly to you! You set their bail, and it’s up to them to collect donations in order to earn their freedom! Arrests are made and jail time is served right outside your business for maximum exposure. All funds raised go to support the Vernon Winter Carnival Society.
