Miss Vernon Silver Star Rotary, Madison Barrett
My name is Madison Barrett. I am the 15-year-old daughter of Wade and Sylvia Barrett. I currently attend WL Seaton Secondary School in the grade 10 French Immersion program where I strive to reach straight As. I enjoy writing, soccer and acting. I plan to become a forensic scientist because I love science! I have volunteered with the CIBC Run for the Cure in the past and I look forward to the many other volunteer opportunities within the Queen Silver Star Excellence Program. I love to challenge myself and accomplish new things recently I cross the Lynn Valley Suspension Bridge with pride, something I didn’t think I would be able to do. Before I begin, I would like to give a big thank you to my sponsor, Vernon Volkswagen. My name is Piper Cahoon. I am the daughter of Jamey and younger sister to Wesley and Hunter, by brother and sister. I am currently in Grade 10 at Clarence Fulton Secondary school where I am involved in Yearbook, the Math Team and have also received numerous honour roll wards. In my spare time, I enjoy writing, archery and photography. I also enjoy learning new things and spending time with my friends and dogs, Savvy and Echo. Although, I don’t do volunteer work anymore, I still love to help people. One day I hope to help people by being a counsellor or psychologist. I would also love to one day be a published author.

My name is Celina Galbraith, daughter of Alan and Val Galbraith. I enjoy being creative like drawing, painting and decorating. I have a passion for riding horses and have been riding since I was five years old. I also enjoy skiing, snowboarding, wakeboarding and wake surfing. I am currently attending Kalamalka Secondary as a grade 11 student. School is very important to me and I constantly set new goals for myself. In the future, I’d like to go to post-secondary for psychology to eventually start a business advocating for disadvantaged children, and animal economics. I’d also like to think I am very good at persevering through hard times and getting to where I want to be in life and with myself. Miss North Okanagan Optimist Club, Morgan Graham
My name is Morgan Graham, I am the 15-year-old daughter of Chrystal Hoffmann and Brian Graham. I attend Clarence Fulton Secondary School in grade 10. I enjoy swimming, archery, and reading. In the future I want to attend University of Alberta (U of A) to become a forensic pathologist. Two of my biggest milestone achievements are reaching grade 10 and winning a silver medal in wrestling. I have volunteered at the Canadian Mental Health Association by helping set up for Mixing it up for Mental Health, I took part in pumpkin carving for the
participant dance and made lanterns for suicide remembrance. I would like to thank the North Okanagan Optimist Club for being my sponsor and also for being kind to me and everyone while we all get adjusted to this new lifestyle.

My name is Miika Isnardy, the daughter of Lisa and James Isnardy. Currently, I am attending Clarence Fulton Secondary School in Grade 11, as well as working for Peachwave. Outside of work and school, I enjoy photography, watercolour painting, spending time with my family and best friend, and reading biology and nursing books. I aspire to one day be a nurse here in the Okanagan, with a focus on pediatrics and their families. For 9 years, I was a highland dancer and was able to volunteer for events such as Robbie Burns night and countless others. I was also able to achieve 213 awards while practice highland dance. My name is Kylee Rose Murphy, I am the 16-year-old daughter of Kerri and Jack Murphy. My stepdad is Bill Hubbard. I am in grade 11 attending Clarence Fulton Secondary School. My hobbies include drawing, painting, writing, and reading. I enjoy art because it's a way to express myself. My favourite book series is The Darkest Minds. For my future I plan to travel and possibly become an Au Pair for a year. I then plan to move to Calgary where I will go to the University of Calgary and I would like to take a Fine Arts and History BA. My name is Hayley Rakos, the 15-year-old daughter of Chad and Hollie Rakos. I currently attend WL Seaton in grade 10. I enjoy horseback riding, BMXing and painting, along with volunteering and raising funds to support the BC Children’s Hospital and the BC SPCA. In grade 12, I plan to start college courses in pursuit of a nursing career. Some accomplishments that I am most proud of are being the recipient of the Citizenship Award and Most Sportsmanlike Award, receiving honour roll in high school and racing at an expert level for BMX. My name is Cadence Summer Rose Taron. I am 16 years of age, currently attending Clarence Fulton Secondary School in Grade 11. I am the daughter of Monique and Greg Taron. My favourite subject in school is history. My favourite sport is volleyball and in my free time, I love to cuddle my cat Romeo and watch Disney movies.
